¡HONKY GABACHO OPEN MIC EXTRAVAGANZA!-a "stark-raving success"... Current mood: catalyzed

¡Hola!

We're happy to report that the first-ever ¡Honky Gabacho Open Mic Extravaganza! was a stark-raving success! From the first pinched-trachea howl of Honky Gabacho, to the deft fingerpicking of Travis Hosey's majestic originals to the chest-punchin', ass-whippin' jam-fever of a Kuato line-up that was, quite literally, barely contained within the confines of the house, it was nothing short of a personal triumph for Mr. Gabacho and Co., and surely a blessed omen of more barn-burning nights to come.
Also present, with ample poise and style to burn, was the duo Jeb and the Illustrious Bone, the Travis Hosey and Honky Gabacho nightcap-jam "Hosey & Honky Sweet-Boy Pin-Up Revue", and Rachael Carrico [with special guest Laryngitis which, in typical Rachael fashion, only added to the sultry, textural depth of her expressive phrases, giving a smoky hue to her originals and an erotic gasp to her Janis Joplin cover "Mercedes Benz"].
...Rachael, you are anything but lost without your sustain pedal... :)
I'll be the first to admit that Honky had to do a little arm-twisting to get me out there, and that I'm grateful for it. I can't think of much better that I want to do with my Monday nights from here on out, and look forward to many more jam-packed evenings of humor, music and the joyful sense of communal expression that is "¡THE HONKY GABACHO OPEN MIC EXTRAVAGANZA!"
